The Schulich School of Business and Executive Learning Centre

The Schulich School of Business and Learning at York University in Toronto is wonderfully designed inside and out. It has nice lines, has a scandinavian, modern style to it-not ornate, spare but beautiful- and not cold, because it is given warmth by the wood and abundance of natural light. It was awarded the Governor Generals Architecture Medal for 2006.

Thomas Kinkade

I have known of Thomas Kinkades paintings for many years. I have come to really like his work because of the warmth, encouragement and grace that shines out of them. Take a look and see.

DaySpring

Another website i found that i really like is the christian card, gift and e-card site DaySpring. The fact that the main colour for the main page is blue doesn't hurt, this being my favourite colour, but beyond this the use of mainly one colour nicely unifies the page (repitition), the page itself is not cluttered and easily navigateable, each part of the page is nicely seperate from the rest (proximity) and the parts line up well so your eye doesn't feel annoyed (alignment). Darwin Wiggett's Photo's

I first came across one of Darwin Wiggett's photographs in a calander i have that features panoramic photos of places across Canada. I then went and found him on a photographic website called First Light. There i discovered loads more wonderfull photographs by Darwin Wiggett. Take a look and enjoy somemore beauty.
